Stillness

I love falling snow. I love the seemingly endless uncountable flakes, like stars. I love the quiet of it. There is a no more peaceful precipitation than snowfall. 


Junior year of High School, my little group of best friends and I went on a retreat with our church to the most beautiful cluster of cabins in the mountains I've ever seen. We would wake up early to breakfast and worship, talk all day, stay up late and repeat. And every day we were there, we were met by these huge quiet flakes falling. It's one of my favorite memories of us all together, before college in different states, and life in general would pluck us away from each other. I remember one night in particular, I left the laughter and plinking of an out of tune piano in a common room and went outside. I heard the heavy wooden door close and taper out all the noise and I was left alone there, with the falling snow.


I like to feel quiet and small once in a while.

Tiny Sparrows

It has been a new dress even though it's too cold, hanging with friends until too late, sneaking photos in the bathroom before my camera dies, new favorite starbucks drink sipping, cuddle on my Yeti kind of night :)

Instagram Update!

Boy, has it been busy around here! We had a huge group of people over for the weekend for Warped Tour, and had a total darn blast! I'm relieved things are slowing down again though for sure :) 

Thursday and Friday we spent getting everything tidy and ready, then had everyone over Friday and Saturday. And, while I'm not a real social person when it comes down to it, I do enjoy being around people and hearing all of their different stories, and I really enjoy being the hostess heh. It made me feel great that everyone had a good, fun time, and we finally got to break in our downstairs! For whatever reason, we've never really used it much before. It was perfect for having this many people over though, seeing how I hoard chairs and there was a place for everyone to sit :P

In the myriad of Instgram pictures above, you will see lots Yeti and I snugglin, some even in the grass under stars :) A big 'ol breakfast we made together for everyone to wake up to, my new little old typewriter, Of Mice and Men place at Warped, my face, my face reading, my face smiling like a doof, and my new awesome bird two-finger ring.

It has been goood :D
