Soilmates

Hey friends! I just wanted to give a quick update on My Goodsie shop, Mason Jar Market, and a peek of a sweet new card I designed that has just been posted!

Some of you may have already known about this little shop I run, but if not here she is! Right now I only have digital card downloads posted, but I'd like to expand it to vintage wares and closet treasures in the near future! :D I posted 5 or so new cards in the shop today, so please check them out! Only $2.00 and you'll get an email with the card of your choice, in any format you need!

Annddd *drumroll* here's the brand new, fresh off the press card I designed!

Sorry for the ugly watermark, but why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free as they say :(

A little creepy and gross, but too cute to resist drawing XD It came as a result of a texting mishap, where soilmates was typed instead of soulmates and here it is! :D

Hope you like! Have a great Friday <3

All the best,
Grace Elizabeth.

A Confession: Hates

If I've been putting on the facade of being a normal, functioning adult let this post clarify it for you :)

I hate balsalmic vinagrette. It tastes like shoe juice.

I hate meeting new people. It makes me terribly nervous.

I hate unsweetened coffee.

I hate the laundry, dishes, and making the bed. (My poor husband.)

I hate the progression of time, and often worry myself sick about getting old.

I hate when people start internet arguments, and just kind of the state of the internet in general.

I hate the doorbell. It's startling, and new people may be on the other side of the door.

Likewise, I hate answering the phone. Talking on the phone in general is pretty painful.

There are so many more >_<

What seemingly normal things do you hate?

All the best,
Grace Elizabeth.

Clogs, yo, clogs.

They finally arrived! :D Last Thursday I received a little box covered in Swedish stamps and knew, this was the moment: my Ugglebo Clogs were home!! :D

I can't tell you how smitten I am with them. I've already worked them into 3 of 4 outfits since I got the beauties! I had no idea wooden shoes could be SO comfortable! I did clonk a little at first but now that I'm used to walking in them, they're seriously a dream. I can't wait to get more colors!

This post was not sponsored by Ugglebo in any way. I just wanted to share an amazing company with my amazing readers :)

All the best,

Design Nerd

This might be a little bit nerdy of me, but I wanted to share the poster design for an event at my school that I designed!

I was pretty happy with it XD Also please peep my lost post, I knew I should have posted it on Monday morning instead of getting antsy and posting late saturday night >_<

All the best, lovelies!

Alive: A Vlog

For years when I was younger, I maintained a vlog series on Youtube called Nerdy Vlogs. It was where I shared stories I wrote, and literature I admired. It's been quite some time since I posted there; I abandoned it for this blog, which I've done way better at updating regularly :)
Well, tonight I recorded another nerdy vlog of a short story I wrote, and wanted to share. Please watch :)

P.S. Sorry for the poor webcam quality, annoying time stamp, and editing jumps!

All the best,
Grace Elizabeth.

Hey there

lovely readers, lets catch up :)

This past week has been a great one. Firstly, we finally got our bedroom (mostly) finished. It's been this same general setup for a while now, but we just put the finishing touches on everything. After Calvin and I got married we never really made any changes to the decor until now. So we mooshed all of our likes together, and come up with this. We're pretty pleased :) (better quality photos to come later heh)

The bottom left picture was from Easter. I love that dress :P The bottom right is of some sparkly star hair pins I made, inspired by the lovely Elsie :P

Last Saturday, my loverly SIL, Vikki, stayed over to do some prooomm shoping. We woke early that morning to some tasty coffee and has an awesome hike around Garden of the Gods (and then nearly died of exhaustion lol).

So pretty :)

Of course other things happened; sweet nights, dates, arguments, rainstorms..but this is all I got photos of heh. How was your week? I hope it was a good one, or at least, an interesting one :)

All the best,
Grace Elizabeth.

Ugglebo Love

Happy Tuesday, readers! I just wanted to quickly share with you guys a drop-dead amazing company I've had the pleasure of interacting with recently:

"Ugglebo means “owl’s nest” in Swedish. The owl is a universal symbol for wisdom, and the nest is a symbol of nurturing and growth. We at Ugglebo truly cherish these values and we strive to do our very best to share them with children in need. That's why we at Ugglebo donate 5% of our annual profits to the nurturing, growth and passing of wisdom to disadvantaged children through education. We can’t really think of a name or logo that could mean so much to us as our little owl does."

From their beautiful handmade wooden clogs (mine are in the mail- woohoo! :D) to their fantastic, efficient and kind customer service, I've just been totally blown away! Plus, their name means Owl's nest?? Yes please! :D Ever since seeing Elsie's awesome styling of bright, retro clogs, I've been dying for a pair of my own. Then I read The Velvet Bird's blog post about Ugglebo and fell in love! Be sure to read her post to
find out more about the company's environmentally friendly practices and safety conditions. I specifically adore the Milans (pictured left) with their sweet little scallops and low heel height. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any of the colors I wanted in my size. I emailed the company asking for an update when they restocked and received a response super quickly afterwards saying that they didn't know when my size would be in stock

from their factory in Sweden but to keep checking back with them. Then lo and behold, a few days later I received another email saying they dug up a pair of the color I loved in my size! So dang considerate! They even held them for me when I couldn't buy them right away. An update review will be coming once I actually receive my clogs, but I'm sure if they are half as marvelous as their customer service and business practices, I will be so happy!

All the best lovely readers,
Grace Elizabeth.
